A southern Wisconsin sheriff’s deputy was recently discharged from the hospital and is now recovering, a March 13 report stated.

Columbia County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Schultz was injured while responding to a distressed motorist that slid off Interstate 39-90-94 on the night of March 11. Deputy Schultz has just got back into his patrol car when another car, driven by a 19-year-old woman, lost control and struck the driver’s side of the patrol car. Schultz was rushed to the hospital for the injuries he sustained. The 19-year-old was uninjured after the crash.

Office of the Sheriff said the lights of Schultz patrol car were on before the crash happened.
