One driver was injured in a multi-vehicle accident in
Waukesha Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department,
the car accident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the southbound
lanes of Interstate 43 near County Highway AA in the Town of Holland, just
outside of Oostburg. Deputies say 25 year-old New Berlin-resident Daniel Pride
was slowing down due to traffic congestion when his 2007 Chevy Impala was
struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 58 year-old Waukesha-resident Stephen
Thomas.

According to the accident report, Thomas became pinned in
his 2004 Cadillac escalade, which was towing a 20 foot boat at the time of the
crash, and had to be extricated by firefighters.

Pride was transported by Oostburg ground ambulance to St.
Nicholas Hospital for treatment. No information on the nature or extent of his
injuries was available.

Thomas was cited for following too close.
