Nearly one million Maclaren USA strollers were recalled forinjury hazards last week.
According to officials with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission, Maclaren strollers that were sold prior to November 2009 werevoluntarily recalled by the company after discovering that the hinge mechanismposes a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when thestroller is unfolding.
Maclaren has received a total of 149 reported incidentsinvolving the recalled strollers. The company said 37 of the incidents reportedinvolved injuries.
Consumers are advised to contract Maclaren USA to receive afree repair kit.
