Town of Brookfield Police Officer Injured in Waukesha Auto Accident

A police officer was injured in a Waukesha car accident earlyMonday morning.

According to officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff’sDepartment, a Town of Brookfield police officer sustained minor injuries in acar accident on the eastbound ramp of I-94 going onto U.S. 18/Bluemound shortlyafter midnight Monday.  Police saidalcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Sheriff’s deputies say two vehicles were involved in theaccident. Details of the crash have yet to be released.

The police officer and the driver of the other car were bothtransported by ambulance to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Thenature of their injuries is not known.

No arrests have been made in connection with the accident.The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the crash forthe Town of Brookfield.
