A man man from Waukesha County was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident in Racine Sunday night.
According to officials with the Racine County Sheriff's Department, 32 year-old Randy M. Rosin was walking in the middle of the northbound lane of Highway 164 when the accident occurred. A 45 year-old woman, whose name has not been released, struck Rosin with her vehicle shortly after 6:30 p.m. She called 911 to report she had struck a pedestrian.
Sheriff's deputies said it was dark at the time of the crash and Rosin was dressed in dark clothing. There were no streetlights in the area of the accident.
Rosin was transported by Flight For Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Police say he sustained serious injuries to his lower body in the crash. A spokesperson for Froedtert Hospital said Rosin was in satisfactory condition Monday night.
The female driver was treated at the scene of the crash. She refused transport to the hospital, police say.
