A man was injured in a Waukesha County motorcycle accident Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 43 near Moorland Road. All northbound lanes were closed following the crash, along with the on-ramp from Moorland to I-43 northbound.
According to Waukesha County Sheriff's Captain Karen Ruff, the driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries in the crash. The man was transported by Flight for Life to an area hospital for treatment, Ruff said.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate the accident. Authorities could not comment on whether alcohol was a factor in the crash. An accident reconstruction team worked for a few hours before re-opening the interstate.
