Escalator leads to personal injury lawsuit

Posted under Uncategorized

After falling on an escalator, James Foster has filed a personal injury lawsuit. The lawsuit names Alton Square Mall in Illinois as the defendant. Foster claims that Alton Square Mall was negligent and did not properly inspect the mall escalator for handrail defects. His fall occured as a result of this negligence, prompting the lawsuit.

Foster also claims that there was not adequate warning posted anywhere about the defective condition of the escalator. He states that Alton Square Mall is responsible for the escalator’s upkeep and failed to maintain the escalator’s safety.

Foster’s injured his hip in the ordeal, sending him to seek medical attention for his injury. He is seeking damages in the excess of $50,000 and is suing for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, loss of earning capacity and disability.
