Posted under Personal Injury

A recent update was released regarding the gruesome pit bull attack that killed a baby boy and injured his babysitter in North Lake Shore Drive last March 6.

According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, 14-month-old Daxton Borchardt was being taken care of by babysitter Susan Iwicki, 30, when her two playful pitbulls became vicious and attacked them. Iwicki said she and baby Daxton suffered multiple bites until they were knocked to the ground. Daxton was knocked from Iwicki’s hands and viciously attacked as a result. Although he was immediately rushed to the hospital, he later died of critical injuries. Iwicki was also rushed to the hospital for the bite wounds she sustained.

The two pit bulls were later killed by a local veterinary and tested negative for rabies by the Waukesha County Medical Examiners Office.

Our attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. send their condolences to all the people affected by the tragic loss of this young life.
