Slip and Fall Lawsuit Filed Against TX Walmart

Posted under Uncategorized

Walmart Stores Texas has been named in a premises liability lawsuit by a man who claims a wet floor caused him to slip and fall.

According to Harris County District Court documents, Gregorio Valdez claims that on November 26, 2010 he was seriously injured when he and his daughter entered a Walmart store located in Humble, Texas. Valdez claims a puddle of water on the store floor caused him to slip and fall. The lawsuit contends a sales associate knew of the puddle, but had not had a chance to clean up.

The lawsuit, filed March 4, is seeking an unspecified amount of actual and special damages, in addition to court costs. The nature and extent of Valdez's injuries is not known.

A Walmart spokesman said the company does not comment on pending litigation.
