McNeil Issues Product Recall for 14M Bottles of Medication

Posted under Uncategorized

McNeil Consumer Healthcare has issued a voluntary recall for more than 14 million bottles of medications.

According to a McNeil press release, the recalled products include Rolaids Extra Strength Softchews, Children's Benadryl Allergy Fastmelt Tablets, Junior Strength Motrin Caplets, and Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom liquid products. All four recalls were issued as precautionary measures. The company says consumers can continue using the products, but they will be removed from wholesale and retail distributors.

The Rolaids recall is limited to one product lot of 36-count cherry-flavored softchews. The lot number can be found on the back of the passage: 0053AG2. The  company says the recall was issued due to "consumer complaints of an uncharacteristic consistency or texture."
