2 Cyclists Injured in Waukesha Crash

Posted under Uncategorized

Two bicyclists were hit by a car in Waukesha County Friday morning.

According to officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Jeff Littmann, the president of the Wisconsin Cycling Association, and Lauren Jensen were riding eastbound on Wisconsin Avenue when a car struck them, just north of Delafield.

Littman was transported, by helicopter, to Foredtert Hospital in Milwaukee for treatment. He sustained significant head injuries in the crash. Jensen, a well-known triathlete, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It is unclear why the car struck the bicyclists. Police continue to investigate the crash. It is not known whether charges have been filed against the victims, or the car's driver.
