Teenager Dies in Waukesha Motorcycle Crash

A teenager from the Town of Lisbon has died after a Waukesha motorcycle accident Wednesday.

According to a Waukesha County Sheriff's official said that 17 year-old Benjamin Henning died in the crash. Authorities believe the teen was traveling northbound on Lake Five Road when a car heading south made a turn onto Perennial Terrace. The teenager collided with the side of the car and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Police say a 62 year-old Stevens Point woman driving the car sustained minor injuries. Authorities say speed appears to be a factor in the crash. Police continue to investigate the wreck.

Arrest Made in Waukesha Sexual Assault

An arrest has been made in connection with a Waukesha sexual assault.

According to officials with the Baraboo Police Department, 24 year-old Tommie N. Lacy was arrested for the sexual assault of a 21 year-old owoman. Police say numerous leads came in from people following media coverage. Lacy had been staying in the city of Baraboo for a short time but lives in Madison, according to police.

Lacy was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault, a class C felony. He is being held in Waukesha County Jail.

Alleged drunken driver smashes into car, kills one

A boy was killed and his father was injured after being involved in a car accident with an alleged drunken driver.

The accident occurred on County Road N and Highway 20 when the alleged drunk driver ran through a stop sign and crashed into the car carrying the boy and his father. The 6-year-old boy was killed in the accident and his father was transported to the hospital where he is currently recovering from the injuries sustained in the accident.

Two other passengers were in the vehicle, but were not injured. The man is being held on $100,000 bail because investigators believe that the man tried to flee the scene and crashed into another vehicle.

Six-Year-Old Killed in Waukesha Crash

A six year-old boy was killed in a Waukesha car accident Thursday.

According to officials with the Walworth County Sheriff's Office, six year-old Treyton E. Kilar succumbed to injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident, which occurred at the intersection of  STH 20 and CTH N in the Town of Troy shortly after 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Kilar was found in the backseat of a car and was unresponsive. Deputies immediately administered CPR. Kilar was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:42 p.m.

According to the Walworth County Crash Investigation Unit, 44 year-old Scott D. Dragotta was traveling northbound on Hwy N in a 2000 Chevy Suburban when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by Michael S. Kilar in which Treyton was a passenger.

Dragotta was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Small Plane Lands to Safety After Landing Gear Fails

Two Boy Scouts escaped injury Monday night when a single engine airplane they were flying in landed without its landing gear deployed.

 

According to officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office, three people were onboard a single-engine Mooney airplane that took off from the Waukesha County Airport Crites Field Tuesday shortly after 7:30 p.m. The boys, a 17 year-old and an 18 year-old, were part of a Boy Scouts Young Eagles Flight. 

 

The Mooney M20 plane took off from rites and was forced to belly-land after about 30 minutes, according to Waukesha County Sheriff's Capt. Frank McElderry. The plane was piloted by a 60 year-old man from Germantown. Authorities are investigating to determine why the landing gear was not deployed.
