Student Dies of Apparent Overdose

Posted on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 4:39 am

A University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student died recently after a party. The 19 year old had taken prescription drugs and mixed them with heavy drinking. Her friends did not realize what was happening, and she died in her sleep.

The parents of the teen are now trying to get the message out that this kind of partying can be very dangerous. The girl should not have had access to drugs or alcohol at that age.

Several upgrades are being planned for the summer along Green Bay Road. This is occurring in an attempt to deter the large number of accidents that happen along this road.

There will be many changes by the coming fall, including modified turn lanes, better traffic lights and an elimination of immediate driveway or parking lot to road access. All of this is in hope of reducing the number of accidents.
